Slightly Over a Week!!!

Can you believe it? Only nine more days are left for the term!!! Let the panic begin! I guess I have been spending too much time fliting around the campus and Hogsmeade (and working on the baby shower gifts). I can't believe where the time has gone this month. Still so much work to do. I especially need to get my owl finished. I will be so happy once it is done.

I have yet to master the automatic knitting spell. My attempts have resulted in some disasters and comedy. Unfortunately the tangled mess of yarn was quite a disaster and someone's owl got caught in the mess. Poor little bird. However it was quite funny watching the needles chase down the stray and unsuspecting student. **No one was harmed in my knitting attempts ;)

Well, I had better get cracking in order to get all of my assignments completed on time.

Week 2 of July

This month seems to be going by in a flash. Perhaps I have just been occupying my time elsewhere (instead of on the assignments that I should be working on).

My O.W.L. is coming along nicely. It will absolutely be done on time, no ifs ands or buts about it. I have been trying to come up with a spell that will tie in 10 or so ends on each of my 88 squares. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful in my pursuits. The border color just needs to be added to 11 squares and then the daunting task of weaving in the ends... and then assembling all of the squares into an afghan! Where's a house elf when you need one? I can't believe how much yarn the border has taken, 5 skeins!!! But then again, the squares did take 16 skeins. Oh so much yarn.

In excess of doing my O.W.L. I have to make baby items because my twin cousins' wives are both pregnant at the same time and are having their shower at the beginning of the coming month! Unfortunately my mum is not too handy with the hook or needles, so the crafting is left to me.

I guess I better get working on my coursework as well as getting this afghan put together as soon as possible so that I can get cracking on the baby items.

And Another Month Bites the Dust

That's right. You heard it come crashing down. June is gone and it is now... JULY!!! ::shrieking:: The professors are really sticking it to us this month. Making things in multiples, something transparent, a constellation, something Snape like (I hope that doesn't send me to detention ::shudders::), a garment to fit in amongst the muggles, and even more to do. Yeah, I think I am going to be busy.

Remember to get your wristies and quidditch wear done and sent out :)

Oooh and coming up is my birthday, I think I am going to take a special or super sneaky trip to Hogsmeade. Yay :)

Btw... How awesome is this cake? I think it is amazing :)

Were Has the Week Gone

Only a few days left in the term!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! Luckily this time around I have finished all but one of my classes. I have until the last day right? lol Uhh... leave it to me to have a difficult time finishing something that has been looming over my head for awhile. Oh well, there isn't much left to do anyways. And I know I will be happy when it is done.

Anyways, I thought I would share a picture of this Ravenclaw passed out amongst the shelves. I thought it was quite funny. I know there is a rush to get work done, but I think they can take things a little too far.
Good luck everyone on making the deadline.

Time Is Counting Down!

I can't believe how close to the end of the month it is already! This week has been super busy! I have barely had any time to work on my assignments. Instead, I have been running all over Hogwarts in an effort to fetch all the things that my professors sent me looking for. I know that there isn't supposed to be hazing, especially from profs to students... but wow! It feels like I am many professors personal owl. And now I am completely exhausted and still have all of my assignments unfinished and looming over me! Gah!!!

Well, now I'm off to rush some vials and retrieve a pendulum on yet another errand. I hope today will be the last day that I am doing this and they find a new owl next week.

Tired and about to crash,

Gone Over the Weekend...

And just finally got caught up on all of the activity while I was away. It looks like everyone has been quite busy. I love all of the projects that have been turned in so far!! I can't believe how amazing and inspiring they are.

On a good note, I finally have my OWL 50% complete. Well, maybe less since I have to assemble all of the squares together into the afghan after they are all made. Anyhow I am happy that I have it as far as I am... Now to just finish it :)
I am happy to say that I am finally getting better. Unfortunately I think someone has been playing tricks on me with spells of some sort because it has taken Madam Pomfrey some time to figure out just what has been plaguing my health. I am not 100% but I am finally getting better. Yay!!! Being sick is not fun at all.
Now that I'm feeling better, I need to start cracking on my assignments so that they get done asap and can spend time doing other things ::cough, sneaking out, cough :: lol
Have you posted your Quidditch video? I did not too long ago. I really had fun searching the muggle-net for some videos.

June Is Here!!!

Guess what that means? Yup that's right, new assignments! This month is going to really put my skills to the test.
I am going to attempt illusion knitting for Charms even though my knitting skills are not excellent and it will be my first time undertaking such a task. Oh well, no guts no glory!
Our DADA professor has given us the chance to torture ourselves by finishing some WIP that has been gathering dust in our closet. The toughest part of this is picking which project of the many that have been left unfinished to complete. That is a dilemma ;)
Make sure you stop by our rotating classes for this month's Divination and Transfiguration. The assignments are quite intriguing and I'm sure the projects are going to be quite amazing.
Quidditch has certainly gotten interesting by the week. I love looking at everyone's beautiful wristies that they have completed as well as the baby wear. I encourage everyone to try their hand at this week's assignment - a limerick. Just reading them is quite inspiring :D
I also want to wish everyone that got their OWL approved, good luck. I can't believe some people are already done! I am working hard to crank out the pieces to mine.
Off to get working on my assignments.
